The CCTV phenomenon is a relatively new one aimed at beefing up security systems at public spaces. At the same time it is something that can compromise a person’s privacy in non-descriptive ways. One of them is to make the body of that person appear and disappear with out their knowledge. This doesn’t necessarily have negative connotations, but the thought that someone doesn’t have control over their body, even for a brief period of time.

Born and based in Karachi, earned my fine arts from Karachi school of Art in 2016, trained as a miniature painter.
My recent work revolves around the specific features of bodies, observed by CCTV cameras and the roles of bodies as the targets of surveillance that may create a number of tangible ethical dilemmas.
In future, my body of work would be more towards the surveillance system that is responsible for expanding social in equalities and reproduced regimes of control.
